LEADER
L’ESTAGE
This past October, nine-time
Canadian Rally Champion and
Subaru Rally Team Canada (SRTC)
driver Antoine L’Estage was inducted
into the Canadian Motorsport Hall
of Fame. The rally star from Saint-
Jean-sur-Richelieu started his career
as a privateer, driving for competing
manufacturers, before joining SRTC
at the start of the 2015 season.
Aside from securing the Canadian
title more times than any other driver
in history, he’s also one of only two
competitors to win the Canadian,
American and North American rally
championships in the same season,
a feat he accomplished in 2010. He’s
won the Rally America title once
and the North American title an
incredible seven times.
“It’s a great honour for me to
be inducted into the Canadian
Motorsport Hall of Fame,” said
L’Estage, after hearing that he would
be joining what is a very exclusive
club. “It’s awesome to represent the
CRC and the sport I love.”
This past season, L’Estage not
only became the Canadian Rally
Champion once again, he also set a
new all-time record for most wins
in the series. With his victory at the
season-ending Big White Winter
Rally, the Subaru driver now has 46
victories to his name. “I’m very proud
to have accomplished this while
representing Subaru Rally Team
Canada,” he said. “The guys at Rocket
Rally are great teammates and work
hard to make sure we all succeed.”
