Synopsis: From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes
an unforgettable, thrilling and haunting tale. Sixteen-year-old Jacob follows clues that take him
to a mysterious island, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s School
for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores the abandoned bedrooms and hallways, he discovers

Marketing/Promotion: Host a “Be Peculiar” Party for the movie’s opening weekend. Encourage patrons of all ages to come dressed in their wackiest outfits. Have people embrace
their strange sides. Partner with book stores, libraries, and book clubs to promote the movie
in conjunction with the 2011 young adult novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs, in addition
to the book’s sequel Hollow City. Coordinate with schools and libraries to make the book part
of a literacy campaign citywide. Use social media to ask followers trivia questions about the
