Short breaks

If time doesn’ t allow for a week away, why not consider a short break? All of our islands are just a short flight or ferry ride away so less time is spent travelling and more time is set aside to explore and relax. Escape as a couple for a romantic weekend; take the family for a seaside break or getaway with friends for some shopping and fantastic food.

Stunning island scenery and fresh sea air may be all you need to recharge your batteries and reclaim your sense of wellbeing. If, however, you require pampering and all important me-time, a luxury spa is what you need!

Dog friendly islands

If a holiday for you isn’ t complete without your four-legged friend, you’ ll be delighted to know that many of our featured properties are dog friendly. Please ask for details.

Accessible accommodation

Many of our featured properties have accessible rooms for those with limited mobility and our Travel Experts will be delighted to help you find somewhere suitable to stay. In Jersey, we also offer Maison des Landes, which is the only hotel in the Channel Islands that caters exclusively for people with disabilities. See page 40 for more information.

Resort transfers & local transport

Resort transfers are not included in our holidays. Pre-bookable return transfers are available in Jersey from £ 32( except travel in Jan-Feb and some hotels are excluded), Guernsey from £ 27 per adult( shared coach transfer) and the Isle of Man from £ 65( per car return for a taxi). Children receive 50 % reduction. Private taxi transfers are also available. Please ask for prices. Please note there is limited availability of taxis at airports and ports in Jersey and Guernsey. Should you choose not to prebook transfers we cannot guarantee that a taxi will always be available upon arrival. Public transport in Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man is excellent, and nearly all hotels have a bus stop within walking distance, particularly for Jersey and Guernsey.

Transfers are not available to pre-book on the other islands. However, taxis are readily available in Alderney. In Sark, Herm and the Isles of Scilly you can walk from the harbour to your hotel. For Scottish Islands we recommend pre booking a taxi. If travelling by air to Isles of Scilly, Skybus provide a mini bus transfer from £ 12 return( payable locally).

Solo travellers

If you’ re visiting our Islands alone, look out for selected tours with great value solo traveller deals( see pages 17, 51, 71-72 & 79). In addition, many of our featured hotels offer single rooms( usually with a single bed often at little or no supplement) or sole occupancy rooms( with a double bed and more space).
