Why choose Premier Holidays?
We have been helping people to explore the world since 1936. With around 90 years of experience, our long-standing reputation speaks for itself- one that is built on reliability, trust, excellent service, and a passion for travel! We believe planning your perfect holiday should be exciting, not stressful and here are some of the many reasons that Premier travellers have trusted us for generations, choosing us time and again to book their travels:
Dedicated well-travelled experts
Our friendly, long serving and very experienced teams are with you every step of the way, offering insider knowledge and support before, during, and after your trip. Many of the team have been with us for over 10 years and all have personal knowledge of the holiday destinations we feature. Most importantly they understand how to plan an itinerary taking into account any preferences, and making the most of the time and budget you have available. No holiday is too complex for us to handle and no detail will ever be too small to be important.
Peace of mind
We know that in a world of uncertainty, it’ s vital to have confidence in the company you choose for your holiday. All our holidays are financially protected – flight inclusive holidays are covered by our ATOL licence and holidays and services which don’ t include a flight are covered by the bond we hold with ABTA. Put simply, in the unlikely event something happens to us, you get your money back so you can book and travel confidently knowing that your trip is in safe hands.
Holiday prices for all budgets
We believe unforgettable doesn’ t have to mean unaffordable and as such we offer a range of options from hotels and tours for the price conscious right up to high end luxury hotels and experiences. Our holidays include flights with scheduled airlines, return airport transfers( in most cases), accommodation, meals as detailed, and, where applicable, onward travel by air or boat. Room upgrades and meal supplements are per person per night.
Premier Plus
Our aim is to offer the best value for money possible, so we are in constant contact with the hotels, airlines and ferry lines we feature to ensure that we have not only the best prices, but the best value-added extras, which can save you hundreds of pounds. Look out for the Premier Plus sections highlighting offers such as:
Free nights | Room upgrades Early booking discounts | Meal offers
Some hotels may restrict the offer to two adults sharing a room. This will be advised at the time of booking.
Your place to stay
Most British Isles hotel accommodation carries an official grading awarded by an independent authority. Most awards are made under the Visit Britain scheme, although some properties opt for AA grading. However, the grading criteria are very similar, so the grades are comparable. Properties are inspected annually and must comply with local regulations as well as meeting set grading criteria. Accommodation is broadly divided into three categories:-
HOTEL- usually offering a wider range of facilities and services.
GUEST HOUSES- Often family run- possibly only offering bed and breakfast, where a warm welcome is more important than facilities and services.
SELF-CATERING- ideal for families or friends travelling together seeking more space and flexibility.
Accommodation, within each category, is awarded a star grade, but be aware that even where the number of stars is the same, actual standards will differ as the grading criteria vary according to the category.
In Jersey only, some properties are awarded“ RED” stars, which indicate a superior accommodation within the grade and category. The designator“ Metro” is assigned to hotels which do not provide formal dining every night of the week, although they may still offer snacks or bar meals.
NEW
See which properties are new to our brochure this year! We regularly look to add to our portfolio of featured hotels, and while they may not be new builds they are new for Premier!
Sustainable travel
Travel is a luxury, to which we all aspire. However, we recognise that there are mounting pressures to be aware of our individual carbon footprints. Whilst some might consider that this precludes travel by air, others will feel that, by travelling responsibly, they can still enjoy the enrichment of experiencing new countries and their cultures, but, at the same time, give something back to those communities visited.
As a travel company, you won’ t be surprised that we think there is a middle ground. Many airlines now implement measures that minimise harmful emissions, plus we are also happy to offer alternative means of travelling from A to B – for example, ferries can provide a much more relaxing experience.
Many of our featured properties have a variety of sustainability initiatives in place, including plastic-free policies and using locally-sourced food within their restaurants. Some are also locally owned or support their community with an array of schemes.
Whilst planning activities at your holiday destination, there are often ways to experience local life without using motorised transport – for example, walking tours give a much more immersive experience into local life and a cycle tour can offer you the opportunity to get to places which a coach can’ t reach.
We recognise that everyone makes these choices daily and we’ re more than happy to talk to you about destinations, accommodation and activities, which will enable you to travel smarter.
