Thus , I always expand my knowledge of food and how it can touch our senses and affect our bodies . It is liberating to learn new cooking techniques and the dietary benefits of various foods .
Taste is usually what drives our palates . We are free to eat whatever we want . But , we must consider the nutritional value of the food we consume . The positive effects of healthy food on our bodies excludes us from sickness and disease .
I am not saying that food heals completely without regard to our faith in God or experienced doctors . Yet , we cannot disregard the tools God placed in front of us to heal and take care our temples . So many foods and spices promote healthy living , but it ’ s up to us to venture out and try them .
There was a time in my life when I was bound to the foods I consumed . I ate a Big Mac , double cheeseburger , a six-piece chicken nugget with two large fries . I wash it down with a strawberry shake and finished with two apple pies ! Yes , all in one meal .
Of course , the prolonged poor eating habits took a toll on my body . I had to make some lifestyle changes . Yet , my knowledge base and budget didn ’ t allow for me to get far . So , I began my adventures in the world of food . Over time , my culinary career complimented my lifestyle changes .
