Freedom with Food: 2 Cool Summer Salads

ne of the things I
love most about being
a chef is the freedom
to discover new foods.
I enjoy cuisine from
other countries,
regions, different
states in America.
The discoveries are
never-ending with
each culture and how
they perceive and
consume foods.
It is the star of our plates.

Farmers markets are a
great place to unearth
nutrient rich produce.

βIn Korea, for example,
meat is actually a
condiment as opposed
to its use in America.
Also, in India vegetables
and vibrant spices are the base of their dishes. But, we
have the opportunity to discover these multicultural
culinary delights without traveling abroad.
America is a melting pot with people from different
countries who call it their home. As a chef, hundreds of
recipes are at my disposal through the internet, books
or restaurants. I love having the freedom to explore
new culinary worlds.
