The University has issued a 19-page interim report on testing activity at the COVID-19 on-campus testing site.
The report’ s purpose is to provide relevant public health reporting on COVID-19 testing and incidence of disease in the surrounding community. The report also highlights the unique public health and social support needs of this community related to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and communicates the real-time approaches used to address the needs. The aim is to increase testing and provide relevant feedback, education, and supportive resources tailored to reducing morbidity, mortality, and suffering resulting from the crisis.
The variety of narrative and demographic information serves to further highlight the range of local healthcare disparities. The report includes graphs that disclose information about cumulative tests over time; a residence location Heat Map of persons tested; race / ethnicity graphs of persons completing COVID-19 testing and a population representation at a variety of testing sites countywide; as well as completed tests by gender and age group. Also included is an analysis of positive cases utilizing a variety of indices.
The report also highlights the unique public health and social support needs of this community related to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and communicates the real-time approaches used to address the needs.
