Sexual Harassment Booklet 2018 | Page 8

IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE BEING HARASSED If you feel you are being harassed, and find that a simple “NO” does not stop the offensive behavior, or if you can’t say “NO” for fear of the consequences (for your grades, references, or a job) contact the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity or a Deputy Title IX Coordinator to review the situation and decide on a course of action. If you are being harassed: 1. Don’t blame yourself; you are not responsible for the harasser’s behavior. 2. Say “NO”. Tell the harasser clearly and directly that you want the behavior to stop. Don’t pretend it isn’t happening. It won’t go away and it may escalate. .  6 
