Sex workers do not have a guaranteed financial stability for the future, due
to the fact that none of them has any savings. Some of the respondents
declared that they are fully well aware of the necessity to save up and create
a secure future, however, they believe that by doing sex work they can only
earn to cover their daily expenses, and they are ultimately left with nothing
to save. Only a small portion of this pool of respondents stated that they have
plans to start saving up in foreseeable future.
Lj: “Well, I’ll admit there isn’t enough. Somehow there isn’t. I don’t save up because
I have nothing left extra to save.” Female sex worker
J: “Not for the time being. But I have to start now. I have some plans and I hope it

S: “No, I don’t save up, everything I earn I spend it on food, drinks, clothes … all
my needs are on a day-to-day basis. I don’t even plan to start saving up.”
