rincess and

the Pea

P PP

What a lovely party for a little girl. The classic story of the Princess and the Pea made for a delightful get together of a few friends. The bed cake was gorgeous and the princess and princes had a thoroughly crafty time.

O

Invitations

To creat the excitement for this party

and invitation was created which

included the story of the princess and

the pea, as written above (my quick

version of it anyway..) I cut out strips

of paper and stuck them together

using double sided tape and then

stuck these to a brown paper card. I

then drew the bed using jsut textas

and also a pea and a crown.

...see the website for a picture of the invitation.

nce upon a time there was a Prince who wanted to marry a Princess, but he had no luck finding one he loved. One night there was a storm and a Princess was caught in the storm when her carriage was damaged. She made it to the palace doors and was greeted by the Queen, who offered her a bed for the night. To see if she really was a Princess the Queen placed a single pea underneath many mattresses and asked the Princess to sleep there. When she awoke the Queen asked how she had slept and although she said she was grateful for the bed, she couldn't help but feel there was something under the mattresses, it felt like a pea. The Prince and the Princess fell in love and were married soon after.
