Max White (OS 2016)
Architecture, Cardiff University 2016–2019
My work is a take on the contemporary world. Inspired by realism artists from the past and present, it is an unedited but
carefully curated exploration of life in the city where buildings and streets of the past are mixed with and occupied by the
culture of the present. My work attempts not to capture moments with precise perfection in technique, but to create a
feeling of a memory you never had. I hope to show a new perspective on a subject we all can relate to, in a way which may
make you look at the urban landscape through a new lens.
Max has exhibited in Kent and the South East, most recently at the RIBA 10x10 Drawing the City London 2019 for the charity
Article 25, alongside contemporary masters in design and art for a charitable cause. Max’s work can currently be viewed in the
Grierson Gallery, Sevenoaks, where he has been artist in residence for three years.
