Wafer Paper Flowers
Step 1 To craft the initial flower design, begin by utilizing a fondant flower cutter as a guide, selecting two different sizes to enhance the visual depth. Take two sheets of thin wafer paper, fold them in half, and trace around the cutter with an edible marker. This method allows for cutting multiple shapes at once, which is a time-efficient approach. Aim to produce a total of 30 shapes, consisting of 20 larger pieces and 10 smaller ones. For the cutting process, an Exacto knife is recommended, although scissors can also be effective.
Step 2 Lightly brush each flower shape with a wafer paper conditioner * mixed with a lustre dust( Iconic glitter dust – Ultra Sparkle White) and set aside to dry. * I use Florea Cakes recipe, 2 tablespoons water and ½ teaspoon Food Grade Glycerine
Step 3
To create the stamen for the flower ' s centre, start by taking a piece of white 22-gauge floral wire. Using pliers, bend one end of the wire to form a U- shaped hook. This will serve as the foundation for your flower ' s stamen.
Step 4 Wrap with white florist tape, covering the U-hook and continuing about 1½ inches down. This creates a secure base for attaching the wafer paper flower to the stamen
