Step 5 Use a steamer to gently direct steam onto the flower shape, allowing it to soften. With your hand, carefully shape the petals into the form you like, giving the flower natural movement
Step 6 Insert the flower shape onto the stamen, keeping it centred. Lightly brush the stamen with water, then pinch the underside of the petal to secure the flower in place.
Step 7 You can alter the appearance of these flowers slightly by applying the same technique from Step 5. By using a steamer to soften the petal shapes, you can manipulate them to create a more closed look.
Step 8
To create a larger flower, combine two smaller pieces that you steamed together. I used water to bond them to the stamen and to each other, ensuring they held securely.
Step 9 Step 10 Once you have finished creating all the flowers, you can proceed to arrange them along with the leaves on the wedding cake.
Begin by arranging the flowers around the entire cake. There is no specific method to follow; simply focus on what appeals to your artistic sense.
