Flying E’ s and Wright Saddle Club will be performing at the State Fair. In the future, if there are more teams interested in performing, the schedule will have to be adjusted with State Fair.
Futurity: Kim Ziegler
Absent. Kim has ordered the awards for Futurity. This year they will be neck garlands made of silk roses and they will also have a plaque with the class name and either Champion or Reserve Champion. The Champion garlands will be royal blue and the Reserve Champion garlands will be red. The cost is $ 37.50 each and will be within budget for this year. The committee is excited to award something new and different.
Historian: Tim Wampfler Absent. Nothing to report.
Judges: Lynn-Ellen St. Martin
The committee has answered a few questions regarding walk / trot classes. Judges have been doing their part in making sure exhibitors who should be riding in pony classes are entering their appropriate classes.
Marketing & Promotions: Rachel Duenow
Rachel has been busy working on the Champ show edition of the spotlight, as well as helping Northwest Designs create the image for Champ show apparel.
Nominating: Ann Goebel The revised nominating procedure discussed last month will be covered under procedures.
Publicity: Lori Taylor
The Royalty court has been busy attending their own shows. Upcoming events included the Royalty Banquet, Special Olympics, and Equimania at the State Fair.
Royalty: Bridget Behrns
Absent. Bridget met with the banquet facility( River City Extreme) to finalize the meal. She has updated the RSVP form which will be activated tomorrow on the website. From there it will be posted on Facebook. Bridget has been busy getting the welcome packets complete and mailed out to the contestants. In the next few weeks, she will be finalizing things for the banquet and seeking judges for that. Bridget asks that if there are board members that have an interest in helping out to Judge the interviews and the evening portion of the banquet, to please reach out to her. The Banquet is Friday, August 22 nd.
Rulebook: Cindy Ladd Absent. Nothing to report.
Safety Committee: Corey Swartout Absent. Nothing to report.
Scholarship: Julie Gintner The committee is waiting for judges’ results to come in from reviewing applications.
Stalls: Tim Wamplfer Absent. We have rented out 65 stalls again this year to Freeborn county 4H for their fair.
