FOOTBALL
An emphasis on player development, collaboration and an energetic style of play.
The football programme at Sevenoaks enjoyed an exceptional season, marked by both individual and collective accomplishments. The commitment and effort of every player and coach involved deserves high praise. The fact that all students can represent the school in matches highlights a dedication to inclusivity and opens doors for everyone to engage and enhance their abilities. Success for different age groups and teams indicates a solid foundation and a rich talent pool within the school’ s football programme.
We witnessed some outstanding performances from all Lower School players during the Michaelmas term. The growth of our player development initiative and the positive feedback from the players demonstrates the programme’ s effectiveness and the commitment of both the players and coaching staff. The focus on quick, attacking, possession-based football not only presents an exhilarating style of play, but also signifies a commitment to skill enhancement and strategic gameplay on the pitch. It is evident that the players have embraced this philosophy and are flourishing as a result.
The Lent term, which serves as the primary football term, was fantastic. Huge congratulations go to the U16A, U15A, U15B and U14B teams for their flawless seasons and league championships – an outstanding accomplishment! Additionally, our 2nd XI, U16B and other teams finished as runners-up, highlighting the overall competitiveness and skill level within the programme.
