Our 1st XI had an extraordinary season, making history by securing a spot in the last 16 of the Boodles ISFA Cup before being eliminated by Hampton School. They also reached the quarter-final of the ISFA Shield and Kent Cup, concluding the season with a draw and a victory against Tonbridge and Epsom College respectively.
With 38 teams and 480 students participating, it is clear that football plays a crucial role in the school community, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and a passion for the sport. Here’ s to ongoing success and growth in the future!

BOYS’ 1ST XI
The 2024 – 25 season was truly unforgettable, shaped by an incredible group of boys coached and led by committed staff. The team was a mix of seasoned 1st XI players bolstered by fresh Lower Sixth legs. If the season were to be summed up in two words, they would be passion and love. Passion for the beautiful game and love of winning together. It was our unity and drive that saw us win our first eight games and reach the ISFA quarter-finals, only to come up short against last year’ s winners. We look forward to going again next season.

GIRLS’ 1ST XI
Improving on last season was no easy task, but the girls managed it: they won 14 out of 17 matches; they reached the final of the Bradfield seven-a-side competition for the third year running( losing only 1-0 to super-team Rossall College); they reached the semi-final of the Kent Cup for the second season running( losing again to the holders, Dane Court, but by a narrower margin than the previous season). Along the way, they scored a string of impressive victories, playing terrific attacking football. The stats don’ t lie: the team was hard to beat, and if the players had their shooting boots on, a game might turn into a goal-fest, as it did when we beat Wellington College 14-0.
At our end-of-season dinner, the Most Valuable Player award went to Sofia Toboul, Most Promising Newcomer to Megan Bello-Mendoza, and the Golden Boot for Top Scorer to Sofia Brown, with 23 goals. The Captain’ s Prize went to Maya Goodrich, who captained the side for a history-making three seasons, and the Vice-Captain’ s Prize to Sophie Gildemeister, who played for the team for four seasons, and who signed off in style by scoring with the last kick of the match( also her last kick in school football) against Lingfield, in a triangular tournament which Sevenoaks won, defeating Lingfield 2-0 and Ardingly 4-2. Goalkeeper prizes went to Julia Metzler and Anjola Adekoya.
Our warm thanks go to Mr Worgan for his tireless work behind the scenes, to coaches Philip Younghusband and Aileen Williams for their seemingly inexhaustible supply of fun drills, and to Miss McQuillin for her all-round assistance.
