This year also marked a special occasion: the 50th Senior Boys’ Knole Run. To celebrate, an Under 15 race was introduced for both boys and girls. With a snowy backdrop creating a memorable atmosphere, Sevenoaks delivered outstanding results: second place for both the senior and U15 girls, and strong performances from the senior boys( eighth) and U15 boys( fourth). An OS run also took place – you can read more about this in the Alumni pages.
Overall, it was another remarkable year for cross country at Sevenoaks, one marked by commitment, team spirit and well-earned success. We now look forward to another exciting season of growth, perseverance and achievement on the trails.

This season has been one of the best and probably my personal favourite throughout the years. I enjoyed the experience of being in a higher year in races with some close friends in the team. There were many opportunities to get involved, from the usual Somerhill qualifiers to the snowy Knole Run and postponed nationals. We had an amazing team this year and it was great to participate in it.
This year was the first year of the U15( intermediate) Knole Run, which was a successful addition that I loved competing in. The scenery was beautiful and it was an enjoyable race for everyone, especially with our girls’ teams coming in second.
We finished first in the Somerhill qualifiers with a really strong team and had success in regionals as well, coming in third against some strong competition, meaning that we qualified for the nationals in Leeds.
It was exciting to get through to nationals for the second year in a row, as it is such a special experience. The overnight stay was super and the conditions were pleasant – much better than last year, when it was beyond freezing! Everyone ran incredibly well, and we came 17th as a team. Huge thanks to Miss Shibil and Darrell for taking us!
A massive well done to everyone who competed this year and I can’ t wait to start training again next year in the seniors.
