CROSS COUNTRY
A second year at the national finals for our inter girls and a special Knole Run
The cross country season was filled with hard work, determination and standout performances. Pupils demonstrated exceptional resilience and commitment throughout the year, continually improving their fitness and deepening their understanding of training and performance.
For the second consecutive year, our inter girls continued to impress, earning a place at the prestigious ESAA Cross Country Cup national final in Leeds. Competing against the fastest schools in the country, the team rose to the occasion, finishing an outstanding 17th overall – six places higher than last year’ s impressive effort. This result is a testament to their strong work ethic and continued progress.
Our junior teams began the season with a challenging opener at the hilly Somerhill race. The boys delivered strong performances and secured solid finishing positions, while the girls powered through to claim third place overall. Returning to the same course for the first round of the ESAA Cross Country Cup, the junior girls stepped up with a first-place finish, led by Eva Vitorino Hiietamm, who claimed her first victory of the season – one of many to come. The junior boys raced with determination, finishing a commendable 11th in a competitive field.
One of the highlights of the season was our home fixture, the Junior Knole Run. Despite the busy schedule, the event was a resounding success, with the junior boys finishing 11th and the junior girls placing an impressive fourth.
