FOOTBALL Old Sennockians Football Club( OSFC)
Since joining the Arthurian League at the club’ s inception in 2013, the OSFC has continued to grow in strength and spirit. This season, 30 players, from age 19 upwards, represented the club in Division 3, showcasing talent, commitment and a shared passion for the game.
In our second consecutive year in this highly competitive division, the team delivered an impressive campaign. We netted an outstanding 51 goals, 17 more than last season, while also tightening up at the back, reducing goals conceded from 33 to 29. Despite equalling a club-record points tally, these strong performances saw us finish just shy of promotion in fourth place.
Nevertheless, the progress made has been hugely encouraging. With a blend of seasoned players and promising new additions, the squad has laid a solid foundation to challenge for the Division 3 title next season.
It has been a thoroughly enjoyable and hard-fought campaign, and we extend our thanks to everyone who contributed on and off the pitch. We are always keen to welcome fresh faces, so if you’ re interested in playing regular Saturday football, please get in touch.

Five-a-side tournament
On Saturday 29 March, Sevenoaks welcomed the return of the Old Sennockian five-a-side football tournament – a day marked by fierce competition, camaraderie and impressive displays of skill.
Players ranging from the Class of 1999 to recent leavers competed in a round-robin format that kept the standings close throughout the morning. Joe Walker’ s team claimed third place, Hamish Thomas’ s side finished second, and Guy Parfitt’ s team emerged as the well-deserved champions.
The standard of football on the day was exceptionally high, with fast-paced matches, sharp passing and some outstanding individual performances. Teams demonstrated excellent tactical awareness and teamwork, creating a thrilling spectacle for players and spectators alike. The level of fitness and technical ability on display was a testament to the dedication and passion of all involved.
The Alex Polyviou Cup is awarded to the tournament’ s standout player, in memory of Alex Polyviou( OS 2001), who sadly died in 2023. This year the cup went to Guy Parfitt( OS 2015), who was selected by Alex’ s former schoolmates for his commanding presence and consistent excellence throughout the competition.
The tournament was played in great spirit, and the success of the day has already sparked excitement for next year’ s event, and hopefully many more to come.
