As we conclude another thrilling rugby season , it ’ s time to reflect on the remarkable achievements , challenges and tremendous growth we ’ ve witnessed both on and off the field . This year has truly showcased the hard work , dedication and passion of our players , coaches and supporters , marking an unforgettable chapter in our school ’ s rugby history .
The 1st XV had an exceptional season , boasting a 73 per cent win rate , a feat unmatched in over a decade . The team ’ s success is a testament to the strong relationships and camaraderie within the group , highlighted by the resilience of our Upper Sixth players . After a previous season filled with harsh lessons , they transformed setbacks into motivation , delivering outstanding performances this year .
The U15B team , under the expert guidance of Mr Miles , remained unbeaten . Their eagerness
and enthusiasm to play the offloading game that Sevenoaks is renowned for , combined with defensive masterclasses , set a solid foundation and added depth to our programme .
We are proud of our programme ’ s commitment to inclusivity and development . This season we saw our highest participation numbers in both 15-a-side and rugby sevens . Additionally , our recreational touch rugby sessions on Friday afternoons reached a staggering 90 participants across consecutive weeks , reflecting the growing interest in the game . These efforts ensure that every player , regardless of ability , finds their place and potential .
The support from our school community has been phenomenal . The surge in supporter numbers created an electrifying atmosphere at matches , motivating our players to excel . The togetherness and school spirit have been truly inspiring . As we look forward to the next season , we are excited about the potential and promise that lie ahead .
