What can you find living on the fallen trees? “Gavilán” Tree Pentaclethra macroloba Did you know… The most common tree in Sarapiquí is the “gavilán” (Pentaclethra macroloba). In the forest clearings left by fallen trees, you can try to find young trees of this species. Its open fruits and seeds are common.
