They were new-age parents paving the way for others to raise their children,
(with disabilities), in a loving, happy, family home. Tim and Susan were taken
on overseas trips to El’s favourite destination – Singapore and encouraged
to be independent, respectful people and to put back into the
community as much as they could.
Tim went to school and as Elise would admit in her own words – ‘Challenged
the most saintly of teachers’. Tim grew to be a ‘cheeky’ young man.
Ern and Elise were to pass away within
18 months of each other and Paul and Trish
became their guardians.
