Ireland’ s Folk Band of the Year, The High Kings, is Finbarr Clancy, Brian Dunphy, Martin Furey and Darren Holden. Coming from accomplished musical pedigrees, The High Kings grew up in households soaked in the Irish musical tradition. Since 2008, they have sold out hundreds of shows in Ireland and the US, made numerous TV appearances, and achieved platinum status with their first two albums. The High Kings are a phenomenal live band, showcasing their incredible versatility as multi-instrumentalists, playing 13 instruments between them and bringing a rousing acoustic flavor to brand new songs as well as old favorites.

BIG TOP IDOL 6 th ANNUAL SINGING COMPETITION Fri. AUG 14, 7:30PM
Join us for our sixth annual competition for local singers and one of our favorite nights of the summer. Auditions are held in the early summer where a core group of finalists are chosen to work with vocal coaches to be ready for the live competition at the Big Top. Those 13 years of age and under will compete for the title of Jr. Idol while those 14 and up compete to become the next Big Top Idol. Duos, trios and groups are welcome to audition and compete as well. Audience members vote and help to pick the winners. Fun for the whole family!

Tab Benoit is one of Louisiana’ s best musical exports. In 2007, Benoit won the dual awards of B. B. King Entertainer of the Year and Best Contemporary Male Performer at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis( formerly the W. C. Handy Awards). In 2006, he received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album for Brother to the Blues, a collaboration with Louisiana artist LeRoux. More than just an acclaimed bluesman, he is an indefatigable conservation advocate, acting as spokesman for the organization Voice of the Wetlands, and starring in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina’ s effects and a call to restore the wetlands.

Wisconsin’ s own Vic Ferrari has been wowing audiences since 1988. His Symphony on the Rocks is a high-powered rock show featuring the Vic Ferrari Band backed by more than 20 instrumentalists performing the biggest hits of classic rock by all of your favorite groups: The Beach Boys, Led Zepplin, Queen, Styx, The Beatles, Foreigner, Journey and many more. This is no ordinary symphony concert— people can’ t help getting on their feet— in other words it’ s a whole lot of fun.
