MASTECTOMY

Poland, one man band, comes to destroy your ears

Here Ricardo Bedoya SCUMZINE magazine, how are things in the band? Hey Ricardo! Everything is in the best order, the debut material, at this moment slowly prepares for first concert!
1 ‐ ' s start coun ng how the band was formed? And why did you decide to be a one band? The reason was simple. All competent musicians are busy in their bands. I did not want to look for people indefinitely, therefore, I took ma ers into my own hands, and so created the Mastectomy ' s DEMO. The band was founded in 2009 by me and my exgirlfriend and the Reason was prosaically: Both were fascinated by brutal, heavy and filthy music, we wanted to become part of the death metal scene and play the music!!
2 ‐ Tell us the most important aspects of DEMO The most important aspect of the demo is that I was able to record them as decent condi ons and terms. Previously worked with the guy who proved to be a total nerd and did not finish his work. I don ' t have respect to that kind of shitheads and rip offs!!
3 ‐ What are you talking about the issues in the DEMO? I put a lot of effort and a recording of the heart. I wanted it to be heavy, disgus ng and sick. Generally I can say that I am sa sfied with the effect, but I can assure you that the new material will be even more savage and evil.
4 ‐ What is the meaning and inspira on from the tle of the EP " BRUTALITY IS THE RULE "? This tle represents my approach to music and what they manage to wri ng more songs. The brutality but it is not a goal in itself and a tool and indicator of which is headed. I wanted the tle was simple and direct. Do not force to any hidden meanings, metaphors, fuck it.
5 ‐ What were the first dra s of extreme media and people in general to this DEMO? The reac ons are generally posi ve, some people give me a killer feedback!! The material is aired on various radio sta ons and generally I have good responses. You know that, you can not do music that will appeal to everyone. Most complaints are on the drummachine, but I do not care. If someone don ' t like, I don ' t have problem with, it doesn ' t bother me, there are other bands to listen to.
6 ‐ How was the recording? And experience shows material to the scene? Recording went very smoothly, painlessly and at ease. The guy who is this dealt professionally approached the subject, and he did what he had and to this fast‐paced
7 ‐ Seal have been interested in the material, any proposal for future recordings?
You mean the music labels? The material was sent to a few larger companies, we ' ll see what will come of it. At the moment, one song will be released on a compila on Crushing Humanity issued in
the USA, together with bands like:
Human Chunks, Napalm Christ, Garoted, Goat Felch, Beeravore, Po ymouth, Infected mind, C3L, Knife Wound, Forged in Gore and it will released this summer!!
8 ‐ He is now preparing new songs, am I right? And When will they be edited?
Basically, I finished material on the en re album, it will probably be in the next year expect total carnage!
9 ‐ How is the music scene in your area? Have you played a lot live?
At the moment I don ' t have any played concert, although I am doing everything to change this situa on. Scene in my town is quite resilient. There is generally a lot of black metal bands like MORDHELL or Freezing Blood, but check out these death metal acts like: Anthem, Bękart or Moloch Letalis because they will melt your brain!
10 ‐ How is it the Polish scene?
Polish scene is very strong and huge!. We have a lot of great bands beside Vader, Behemoth and Hate. Check names like Anima Damnata, Azarath, Trauma, Infernal War, Tehace or Raped Christ. Poland stands in extreme metal and there ' s no sign that this situa on had to change.
11 ‐ What kind of music do you listen to? And what are your favorite movies?
I try to listen to different things. Besides I like classic death metal or hardcore ore classic grindcore. I like a good, concrete black metal. When it comes to movies that I really like: war movies like Platoon or sci‐fi like Aliens and Terminator. I like also documentaries about dictators or serial killers, such sick motherfuckers are inspira on for for my music.
12 ‐ What do you know of the Colombian scene? And what is your opinion on the current world scene?
I really appreciate Carnivore Diprosopus, Amputated Genitals, Goretrade or Internal Suffering. Last listened too Carnal Blasphemy and I enjoyed it. When it comes to the world stage I think that today is quite good, come on I sense an impasse and there is no chance for a breakthrough. I have a feeling that too many bands copying each other, wants to play as fast as possible, the hardest forge ng that it ' s not the all about. It ' s not a compe on or car race! There are now very high standards and it is difficult to create something new. The good thing is the promo on in internet and the ability to record your good home – made material in decent terms which wasn ' t possible in the past.
13 ‐ How do you run the musical composi on Mastectomy?
Generally, I put on heavyness and a good riffs. I want a single song has a good groove, atmosphere, sick and brutal drive. I like the diversity and try to each song was different, I am inspired by a lot of things so I think I did not run out of ideas.
14 ‐ Is there The Possibility That the mastectomy Becomes a band?
It is possible, only me will tell if this will happen. but for now ' ll stay as single band.
15 ‐ Anything you want to say to the readers?
Thanks a lot for the interview and for suppor ng Mastectomy! Listen brutal music, support local bands and fuck trendy shit!
