The Moray Firth Snorkel Trail is the latest in a range of snorkel trails created by the Scottish Wildlife Trust . Other sites include Arran , Berwickshire , East Lothian ,
Lochaber , North Argyll , North Harris , North West Highlands and Torridon .
Using a snorkel trail guide , which can be downloaded from the Trust ’ s website , snorkellers can enjoy seven of Moray Firth ’ s best snorkel sites – Portknockie , Portsoy Pool , Black Pots , High Shore Beach , Needle ’ s Eye / Tarlair Swimming Pools and Cullykhan Bay .
Elouise Cartner , Living Seas Public Engagement Officer with the Scottish
Wildlife Trust , said the chosen sites on the trail have been designed to enable more equal access to nature . “ Alongside helpful beach maps with beginner and advanced snorkel areas , the leaflet highlights local facilities , familyfriendly attractions , accessibility information and community-led marine citizen science opportunities , all for a wonderful day out !”
