is a small but impactful Stac a mere 62m high , which when approaching from the East resembles a human face .
Under the sea , the kelp dominated until 25m , when I followed a gully deeper to an impressive outcrop covered in jewels , dropping sheer into the depths . I passed a large gelatinous sheet of lacy white , which I now know to be anglerfish eggs and wish I ’ d investigated further . Instead , I drifted on to explore a series of interlinked gullies , carried onwards past walls of colour by a kiss of current . I felt the sky above me go dark and a massive shoal of mackerel passed me by , swirling intoxicatingly as I clung to kelp and stared .
