How does the club raise funds ?
Funding is always a challenge . Our main income is membership fees , which are set at a level to ensure scuba diving is accessible to as many social groups as possible . We also raise income through diving activities , try dive and community events . In the past , we have obtained grants , for example a grant from Sports Council Wales supported training by increasing instructor numbers .

instead , we concentrated on getting Ocean Divers to Sports Diver , largely through Zoom sessions and , during the relaxing of the Covid rules , practical sessions . We have held a few club meetings using a combination of face-to-face , together with an option for members to attend remotely online . We ’ ve held social events to include meals and drinks for those who wanted to participate . The club has improved its financial status slightly .
