CONSTANTLY COMPETING: FIELD HOCKEY

First of all, field hockey is also really popular in Canada. It is called Canadian field hockey. Field hockey is mostly practiced as a women’ s sport in Canada and U. S. A. where field hockey is most popular as a women’ s school sport. In British Columbia, there are over 8000 players making it the most active field hockey province in Canada.
Next, field hockey is popular in so many different countries. Field hockey has been played by Americans for a long time. Now that field hockey has been played by Americans since the time of the British colonial rule, it is one of the oldest college sports. Today, field hockey is popular in more than 120 countries like India, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. Field hockey hockey is popular in many more countries than just the Netherlands. For example, Australia, Spain, Germany, UK, Belgium, USA, Argentina, Malaysia, and Canada. Field hockey is popular in the USA, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Australia.
Now, field hockey is working its way in English public schools. There are about 1200 players in high school field hockey players! Field hockey is mostly played by women in high school. They have a mascot to represent the school. For example, Huron high school is the river rats.
Lastly, your game is ended early due to weather. But you are proud of how you and your team played. There was so much obstruction, fouls, penalties, and foots. You had won 3-2 so far and your parents and coach were proud. Then you think to yourself,“ I guess unique things can happen in field hockey!”
