Sensational Softball
Close your eyes and imagine that you are
gripping a softball bat. A pitcher is probably
throwing a softball at you so you can hit the ball.
So hit that ball, hit it hard, and before you know it
you will be running the bases.
POSITIONS
Position is where you are in a field. The fielders
are the ones farthest from the bleachers. The
base men are the ones near white things called
bases. The fielders and the base men are probably
the farthest from the bleachers.
The pitcher is in the exact middle of the field. The
pitcher has to stay in the middle. The pitcher is
the one that throws the balls to the batter, so the
batter can hit the ball.

so the batter does not get a lot of balls behind
and slips on the balls. In conclusion you have to
be in a certain position.
MATERIALS/PROTECTION
The Materials / Protection is the most important
things in softball. For fielders and base men
probably like face masks. Face masks are so the
ball does not hit you in the face. It would hurt if a
ball hit you in the face.
s would wear a facemask with a chin guard,
chestplate,and shin guards. The reason you would
a chin guard is because you need to protect your
chin.the chestplate is to protect your chest. The
shin guards are to protect your shins.

Pitchers should also wear face masks. The reason
is because they are closer to the batter. The
pitcher is the second closest to the ball. They
could seriously get hurt. In conclusion you need
certain protection.
PITCHES
After you have all the materials on one person
goes to the pitcher’s mound. Before pitching you
would want to stretch so you don’t pull a muscle.
Then if you are a beginner pitcher you would first
want to make a “c”on the ball. Also you would
want to do a leg drive that is one of the most
important things.
You can do certain things in fastpitch softball.
First of all, you can steal a base in fastpitch
softball. When you are pitching fastpitch you will
want to think of turning a doorknob. For the best
fastpitch release you want to make sure your
hand is pointed like a gun.
There are also other pitches beside fastpitch.
There are 6 other pitches so in total there are 7
pitches. One of the other pitches is rise ball for
rise ball there are 2 ways to do rise ball. One
type is called 4-seam. Also the 5 most popular
pitches are fast ball, change-up, prop pitch,
curveball, and rise ball.
Now you are rounding 1st base. Then 2nd. Then
3rd and now heading home and you have scored
a homerun and with that your team has won.
