The castle will impress you with its majestic halls but also with it’s torture halls. It is said that even Vlad Țepeș was imprisoned here during the wars between Wallachia and the Austro-Hungarian empire.

The castle is located in Hunedoara, a small industrial city, mostly built during the communist era.

The Palace of the

People’s House)

Built by the former communist leader Nicolae Ceaușescu, the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest is the biggest building in Europe and the second biggest in the whole world.

For its construction, and for the construction of the boulevards that surround it, the communists had to demolish an old neighbourhood in Bucharest, the size of a small city. The communists liked to call the building „The People’s House”, and absolutely every raw material, decoration and furniture used for it is entirely made in Romania. Nowadays it houses the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, three museums and an international conference center.

Tourists can visit less than 10% of the rooms inside, and the tour takes approximately 2 hours.
