“Slănină”

is smoked pork-fat. Romanians love it and usually eat it with some fresh onions or tomatoes.

“Papanași”

is a very typical desert. They are somehow similar to doughnuts but in this case the dough contains a lot of cottage cheese. After being fried, they are served with yoghurt and jam on top.
