I am actively engaged in interdisciplinary public health research, with a strong focus on childhood malnutrition and COVID-19. My research examines the socioeconomic and lifestyle factors influencing malnutrition, particularly in Southeast Asia. I have also made significant contributions to pandemicrelated studies, developing effective models for short-term COVID-19 prediction and investigating the role of demographic variables in viral transmission.
I coordinate key statistics courses at the School of Science and also lead multiple education-focused research grants to integrate artificial intelligence, innovative technologies and gamification into the learning and teaching of statistics.
My research in financial statistics focuses on understanding market behaviour and efficiency through datadriven approaches which integrate advanced modelling, computational analysis and empirical data science methods to generate insights into how financial markets operate.
