OUR CONTRIBUTION TO PRME IN 2023 Blueprint for SDG Integration
The School ’ s contribution to the PRME Blueprint for SDG Integration was commended , particularly in our research and partnership initiatives . The blueprint serves as a practical roadmap for infusing sustainability into business school curricula , research endeavors , and partnerships . It offers a structured framework for integrating SDGs into various facets of academic life and serves as a repository of exemplary practices from business schools worldwide .
RAISING AWARENESS OF PRME
Monash Responsibility Day Held during Orientation Week , our PRME Champions introduce first-year students to the UN Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ) and the role of the Principles for Responsible Management Education ( PRME ) in preparing future graduates to become ethical and socially responsible leaders in their respective fields .
World Humanitarian Day On September 16 2023 Monash University Malaysia celebrated its annual World Humanitarian Day event . Various topics , such as climate change , gender equality , sustainability , violence , pollution , environmental justice and education were presented at the event . The event was blessed to have a lively crowd who cheered and motivated the speakers .
Improving SDG Reporting for Business Schools
Congratulations to the five best speakers ; Fatima Omer ( School of Science ), Bryant Koh ( School of Business ), Dinyadarshini Johnson ( School of Medicine ), Gelson Eng ( School of Business ), and Vicki Sam ( School of Medicine and Health Sciences ). Additionally , we would also like to thank all other participants for raising their voice in celebration of this event .
The School of Business was also recognised as a participating institution in the SIP Early Adopter Process of the new Principles for Responsible Management Education ( PRME ) Reporting logic at the 2023 PRME Global Forum in New York . As a PRME Champion , the School engaged in a four-month process between January and April 2023 , to establish a global standard for sustainable development reporting in business schools , fostering collaboration , creativity and self-reflection to effectively serve stakeholders and create a better world . stakeholders and create a better world . p 49
