Start-Up Bootcamp Challenging participants to turn ideas into viable startups over 2.5 intense days , participants are guided by academic mentors , industry partners and startup mentors through masterclasses , workshops and fireside chats to go from zero to a potential startup pitch . Networking sessions enable them to connect with local entrepreneurs and key players from Malaysia ’ s startup ecosystem , and leverage on-campus resources .
In December 2023 , over 50 Participants from across seven different educational institutions convened at Monash University Malaysia to tackle the theme of “ My Resilient City ”, inspiring visions for the urban landscape of tomorrow . From tackling transportation challenges to pioneering clean energy solutions and celebrating cultural heritage , participants explored a spectrum of innovative ideas , emphasising resilience , sustainability and inclusivity in their vision for the future .
The winning teams were selected from a large number of proposal submissions spanning across participants of diversified backgrounds . Congratulations to Team Sassy Entrepreneurs as the first-place winner , earning RM 5,000 cash for their ingenious concept , “ The GreenFlow Project : A breath for tomorrow ”, aimed at using Algae in public infrastructures to improve air quality standards .
