Girls’ Brigade
Our members showed their commitment to the Girls’ Brigade cause worldwide by initiating and executing a Valentine’ s Day fund-raising during which they sold goodies like cornflake clusters, and roses, for the occasion. They collected the princely sum of $ 1,634.00 which was donated to GB Cambodia via our national headquarters. Our girls also gamely took part in the GB Flag Day in early March to raise funds for Girls’ Brigade Singapore. Our secondary one recruits had a taste of hiking and orienteering when they participated in a combined hike with the Boys’ Brigade.
Boys’ Brigade
Anglican High’ s Boys’ Brigade 14th Singapore Company participated at the annual BB Blaze competition held in April. This year’ s adventure race was held at various venues – namely Marina Bay, the Padang, Kallang Riverside, East Coast Park and the National Sailing Centre. The 45 km route tested our boys in various adventure skills such as map reading, orienteering, navigation, running, kayaking, ropes, knot tying, sports, arithmetic, National Education knowledge, cycling and archery. Of the 137 teams, representing 65 Secondary Schools, our school emerged in 10th place.
