RUN THE ROCK
RCC’s Suffern campus will transform into a giant obstacle course on Sunday,
April 22, for the second annual Run the Rock. This fun run event challenges
participants to cover five kilometers while also scaling walls, crawling through
tunnels and tackling other professionally-designed obstacles.
Anyone age 14 or older is invited to take part. The cost is $35 if you register
prior to April 1, $45 thereafter. Those who have an RCC student ID can
register at the discounted rate of $25. There will be free activities for all ages
the day of the event, including a bounce house and face painting.
All proceeds from the Run the Rock go to support programs for veterans at
RCC and Rockland Homes for Heroes. To learn more or to register, visit www.

Roll out the red carpet! Rockland Community College’s answer to the
Academy Awards will be held on May 12 in the Cultural Arts Theater.
The 11th Annual RCC-TV Video Festival is a competition open to
current students, alumni and local high school students. Contestants
enter their videos in one of eight categories, including short film,
music video and public service announcement. Winners are revealed
the night of the ceremony, with awards for all, and a special Grand
Prize for the best RCC student video.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. For more

SPRING PERFORMING ARTS
RCC Performing Arts will stage the iconic Broadway musical Godspell for its spring student production. The
show will hit the stage in the Cultural Arts Theater April 12-15.
First performed in 1970, Godspell is a retelling of the Gospel of Matthew, presented in a series of parables. The
show features a great deal of comedy and music in a variety of styles, including the hit song “Day by Day.”
