Celebration, art and education will mark the 2018 observance
of Jewish Heritage Month at RCC. The month kicks off
with a boisterous Purim Party opening celebration on
March 1, complete with a Megillah reading, costume contest
and traditional holiday treats.

returns to RCC
on March 8, this
time as a Challah
and Dip Cook-Off
competition. Students
will prepare challah

be judged by a panel
of local celebrities,

On March 22, Rabbi Lawrence Hajioff will visit RCC to
discuss his new book, Jew You Love Me? Rabbi Hajioff,
a native of London, is a college educator and also won a
national competition for “Jewish Stand-Up Comedian of the
Year.” Free copies of his book will be available at the lecture.

Women’s
History Month
Rockland Community College will
celebrate Women’s History Month
in March with a series of workshops,
lectures and special events. The
public is invited to attend any of the
events, which are all free of charge.
Author Ilana Kurshan will visit
RCC on March 13 to discuss her
