Middle School Rugby Scarisbrick Hall vs St Ambrose Scarisbrick Hall vs Maricourt Reported by: Mr Groves Reported by: Mr Groves A big day for Scarisbrick Hall School when we introduced our newest sports team into the ever growing sport, rugby, at the school. The second game of rugby arrived just two days after their loss to St Ambrose. The U13s team played their first rugby game against a experienced St Ambrose Barlow team. The game started nervously for Scarisbrick Hall with a few missed tackles causing a few early tries to fly in for St Ambrose. Scarisbrick looked a different team playing some flowing and expansive rugby throughout the game. Maricourt were never given a chance due to the strong defence of Scarisbrick with Captain Charlie Parton, Bradley Hickman, Benn McIntosh, Henry McDonnell, Harry Boardman and Tolu Oyebola all excelling in different areas. As the second half came, Scarisbrick looked a different team and proved that when they had the chance to play. After scoring their first try through Captain Charlie Parton the game finished at a respectable 7-21. A great effort in their first game for Scarisbrick Hall School. Maricourt did manage to score two tries but ultimately never got a real chance against a reinvigorated team from their first game. The game finished 35-14 to Scarisbrick Hall. Well done boys.
