ODPSSA Football League

Our U11 Football team have been entered in the ODPSSA Football
League involving local schools in our area such as St. John’s,
Ormskirk C of E, Town Green, St. Anne’s and Banks St. Stephen’s.
The format of the league is to play a number of matches on one
night, similar to a mini tournament, these match nights will take
place in September and February.
The first league meeting was back in September when we
travelled to Ormskirk High School and played 2 teams from our
league. This was the first time our U11 team had played together
and we had only managed to fit in one training session due to the
early start in the year. This didn't effect the determination and belief
within our team and they produced some fantastic football. The
results so far stand at 2 win, 2 draws and 1 loss. One of our draws on
the night was against St. Johns in Burscough (who were unbeaten
until this point,) we unfortunately went 2-0 within the first half of the
match, the team picked themselves up and managed to bring it back
to a 2-2 draw - a fantastic team performance!
This was a great start to the league for our team, there are things we
have been working on in training that will hopefully push us on to
collect more points on the next league match night in February.

Year 5 & 6 Everton FC Football Competition

Our U11 team travelled to Stanley High School to compete in a football competition, organised by Everton
FC, against other primary schools in Southport. There were 9 other teams in the competition and we had
been put in a group with Farnborough Road, Our Lady of Lourdes, Linaker School and Kew Woods
