OFFICIAL PROGRAMME
EXCITING CONTENT so many disturbances and reductions in physical sporting events and fan participation . The good news is that there will be fans at Most , as there were in small numbers at Misano , Donington and especially the larger crowds permitted to join in at Assen . All at Most this weekend will have to provide proof of a negative covid test but all are more than welcome at the beginning of a new era for Czech motorcycle sport . Originally built in the communist era , Autodrom Most is located in an industrial and post industrial area around an hour north west of Prague . Its location should ensure a strong catchment for not only the existing fans of all things two wheeled - many of whom have flocked to Brno for the MotoGP™ and WorldSBK events over the decades , but also the more casual fan who wants to see something colourful , fast and just a little bit noisy . Most , the town itself , was the European City of Sport in 2015 , and is surrounded by old and often deliberately flooded brown coal mines , facilities that make it a significant water sport centre . With the Ore mountain range and the impressive Hnevín Castle looking across the circuit and the local city of 66.000 people
^ there will be more to take in at Most than just the racetrack itself . The venue and the track layout may be a new experience for almost every rider and team who will come to race here this weekend , but they will find a circuit which is both well established and which has already started out strongly on its improvement programme to host a series such as WorldSBK . The event will be organised by Automotoklub Most , with local and national government support , both practical and moral , as we step into the first of five years of WorldSBK racing in Bohemia . The first permanent racing facility in the Czech Republic , Autodrom Most was opened in 1983 , but the local area had been hosting street races since after World War II . Around a local brewery , no less !
