Contemporary artist’s that create interesting stop motions include ‘The Brother’s Quay’. Stephen
and Timothy Quay were born on June 17th, 1947 where they grew up inspired by cartoons of the
times such as ‘Cat Happy’ and ‘His Bitter Half’. This caused them to become interested in animation
from an early age. They moved to England in 1969 to study at ‘The Royal College of Art’ in London to
pursue their dreams of being animators. Whilst in
England they begun to create their short films, they then
had a short break in the Netherlands before coming
back to England where they collaborated with fellow
