MLCAC senior manager’s competency framework
Leadership in municipal governance
The leadership in municipal governance
programme (LMG) is a unique professional
training and development programme
for municipal leaders structured as a
formalised certificated programme. The
programme was created in response to
the articulated and inherent needs of local
government political and administrative
leaders,
executive
and
oversight
responsibilities in the development of
their localities. This programme is offered
through a formal partnership with an
accredited institution of higher learning
and is delivered at NQF level 7.
A notification regarding a call on
enrolment into the programme was
issued to executive mayors, mayors,
speakers of council, portfolio committee
chairpersons and municipal managers.
The notification is for the first intake into
the programme.
