Abhari: «Muslim Kazakh people are proud of
their religion despite years of communist rule
that left a clear mark on weakening religious
culture among Kazakhs.»
Mr. Ayman Abhari
the Arab investor - Kazakhstan
During its visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Salam magazine
met with Mr. Ayman Abhari, the Arab investor, who spoke about
his experience in carrying out investments in Kazakhstan. He
pointed out that in the early nineties of the last century, he left
the city of Kharkov in the Ukraine on a tour of the Soviet Union,
which was just on the verge of disintegration. He headed to the
Muslim-majority countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Almaty was his third station after Moscow and Tashkent. He was
very impressed by this city that was adorned by greenery since
it was a city built in a forest. He was further impressed by the
good treatment s hown by its people towards guests in general
and towards Arabs in particular. Arabs are descendants of the
Prophet, peace be upon him, and of his companions, May Allah be
pleased with them, and they share with the Kazakhs an important
part of their history and even the attempts to wipe that history off.
