A?R?O?U?N?D C?A?M?P?U?S Facing Challenges Together? at Ramapo Sixth graders spent two days at Camp Ramapo for Children engaging in a variety of team/trust building challenges. Notes teacher Ed Carr: “For the two days, the boys confront their fears on 30-foot tall ziplines, and rely on one another for safety and guidance, while solving mental challenges in the outdoors.” Each boy learns that by working together he can positively affect the success of the team. The experience also increases bonds among the boys, which enhances their working relationships when back in class. Third Grade Visits the Met Each of the Third Grade classes visited The Met separately in conjunction with their study of the seven continents. The tour, “Communities Around the World,” was focused on artwork from different continents. While viewing the three different pieces of art, the boys discussed what they can learn about a community and culture through their artwork.
