A?R?O?U?N?D C?A?M?P?U?S Advanced Degrees for Faculty First Grade teacher Melissa Ferrer recently earned a Master of Science degree in ATP Childhood Education from Pace University. Dean of Faculty Shane Kinsella earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University. Greetings in Spanish Tori Gilbert’s Sixth Grade Spanish immersion class learned the different ways to politely greet various people, with various titles, in Spanish—from the President, to teachers, to the Headmaster. The activity involved the boys appropriately greeting people represented by photos. The class also sang a song in Spanish about greetings. Headmaster for a Day Hutch Tyree ’13 selected Halloween as the day he would serve as Headmaster for the Day. Hutch’s festive day included greeting students and announcing his special rules: no homework for the day and a special Halloween lunch. Hutch also granted the seventh and eighth graders privileges to dress up in costume. Several boys took him up on this offer and came to school dressed in creative costumes that included a Checkerboard Man, Gladiator, M&M, and Gumby. And the Turkey Goes to . . .
