Technology Integration in Pre-K
During the fall, Pre-K boys learned all about farm life. On Farm Day, they engaged in related activities such as driving a tractor to pick up a pumpkin as well as participating in an egg carrying competition, which kept the boys actively engaged through movement and hands-on learning. Also, as a new element of the unit this year, they used painting software on iPads in the computer lab to identify and color various animals. In each of these activities they learn to share with, listen to, and respect others through cooperative work and play. Later, while exploring patterning in math, they identified and drew patterns on the tablets.
