Speeding – need to collect speed data and make that available to the public . What percentage of drivers are going above the speed ? How many crashes are tied to speeding ?
User friendly public information with advertisement in various forms Everyone needs to be engaged in safety .
Solutions needed for large events for both local residents and people visiting who don ’ t live in Arlington . Ex ’ s . Signage , TV or other news channels . Need to have good data to inform public messaging , with diPerent messaging for those not attending events . E . g . alternative routes . Public data on crash locations
Adequate sidewalks to allow people with disabilities to travel outside of the roadway Integrate safety policies into design , i . e . safety improvement at intersections . Need integrated system . Integrate plans across organizations .
