2 / Anxiety related to changes , even if positive changes ( such as moving , new job , new baby , getting married , or any other major transition in life )
3 / Anxiety related to trauma or great loss ( death , disability , divorce , loss of relationship or traumatic event )
4 / Phobias ( extreme levels of fear with a specific trigger )
5 / Panic ( feels like a heart attack , may or may not have specific triggers ).
Physical Symptoms may include :
• hyperventilating or difficulty breathing
• rapid heartbeat
• chewing fingernails
• fidgeting or restlessness
• feeling pressure in chest
• nausea
• trembling or shaking
• ‘ knot in my stomach ’
• jaw clenching or teeth grinding
• sweating
• headaches
• fatigue or tiredness
• muscle tension
• nervous eating
• insomnia or difficulty sleeping
It ’ s estimated that 1 in 13 people suffer from anxiety . Anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorders worldwide .
WHO ( World Health Organization ) Steps to take to help address anxiety :
• Begin exercising ! ( Daily aerobic exercise is best , but even a small amount of exercise is a positive step !)
• Learn to relax ! ( Take deep breaths , learn ‘ progressive relaxation ’ techniques , do stretching
