employer myself, I had better see a very
well controlled and strategic LinkedIn
account that is related to your field and is
professional! You can only blame yourself
for the fact that no one can find anything
professional and decent about you on the
internet.
7. Being grateful. Thank those around
you. Be courteous, make eye contact, give
a smile, a tilt of the head and a genuine
“thank you.” You will be surprised how
things begin to happen. People are more
patient with you, they offer help, you may
even have a rewarding conversation with
someone you have never met before...!
Honest appreciation and gratitude is one
of the most psychologically cleansing and
rewarding habits you can adopt. Thank
your Mom and Dad. The people who come
over and drink your beer; thank them for
their company. Thank your professors
for their time. Thank students for good
questions. Thank someone for being nice
to someone else.
Try this: More gratitude, fewer apologies.
Say “thanks” instead of “I’m sorry.”
Be thankful for the patience, for
understanding, honesty and integrity of
others. Don’t be sorry for your inadequacy,
forgetfulness or ignorance.
