Bettws FOLLOW US ONLINE TWITTER.COM/RUGBYCLUBMAG Alan Clarke is a club sponsor with Convoy TM and recently told Rugby Club Magazine, “I come from Malpas and sponsored the club previously when my lads were involved. I played for the old Civil Service rugby club, mainly as a winger, for seven years till a back injury coupled with family and work commitments put an end to my playing days. My sons, Shaun and Scott, play for Bettws; Shaun is a prop and Scott is back row or hooker but will play anywhere as long as he gets a game. I attend most home games and feel that the club are on their way to winning the league and will benefit from stronger opposition next season. It’s great for the local community how well the lads are doing and their success has attracted more people to the club. Best wishes to everyone for the future.” The UK’s leading supplier of Traffic Management labour & training LABOUR Convoy TM ltd was established in 2013 by managing director Mr Alan Clarke, the company was set up as a traffic management labour supply service, and the company’s main objective was solely to supply Quality TM operatives of all levels to the TM industry. He told us, “It’s great to hear the club are being recognised this year and are a shining light and great example to everyone on the estate. At a time when too much negativity prevails the club offers the local community a real positive example and chance for people to play or support a great local rugby club. I naturally wanted to give something back to the club and to my friends so this year decided to support the boys as a sponsor with my business Kyle Transport Services Ltd. Unfortunately, my business operates on weekends and this has restricted me getting down to support the lads. I would like to congratulate everyone associated with the club on enjoying such a great season and wish everyone at Bettws Rugby Club the very best of continued success for many more seasons to come!” 34 Issue 83
